Tudor Vladimir Panduru is a Romanian cinematographer passionate about visual storytelling and always in search of creative visual expressions for screen dramaturgy. He works on feature and short films, as well as advertising.


Born in 1989 in Piatra Neamt, Romania, Tudor developed his visual sensibility by way of photography before studying cinematography at the National Film and Theatre University “I.L. Caragiale”. He also holds an MA in The Art of Cinematography from the same university.


Tudor made his debut as a DOP in a feature film ,Bacalaureat, with Palme D'Or winner Cristian Mungiu. The film has received praise internationally after its premiere and Best director award at the 2016 edition of the Cannes Film Festival , witch has been nominated in Manaki Brothers Film festival for best cinematography.


Tudor Vladimir Panduru's recent feature project My Happy Family, directed by Nana Ektimishvili and Simon Gross. After its world premiere in the official competition at Sundance 2017 and European premiere as part of Berlinale forum the same year, the film has won praise in film festival internationally. Tudor's work as a cinematographer on My Happy Family was recognized with the Best Cinematography Award at Leece Film Festival.


His last work Suleiman Mountain, shot in Kyrgyzstan, directed by Elizaveta Stishova had the World Premiere in Toronto Film Festival 2017 .
